Prosciutto Wrapped Dates Stuffed with Parmesan

My fascination with dried fruits wrapped in pork products started with this article in the the delicious life. This is my attempt to recreate the appetizer is served at the A.O.C..

prosciutto
Parmesan
dates

Preheat oven to 400. Deseed dates. Stuff with a sliver of Parmesan. Wrap with a small piece of prosciutto. Bake for 8 minutes or until the cheese is bubbly. Serve immediately.

Dried Prune Powder

The powder is made in Taiwan from dried plums, licorice flavor, sugar and salt (and a preservative too). It is used to dip fruit in--I first had it at a sidewalk fruit stand in Taiwan with green mango. I found some at a local Chinese market and ate it with Asian pear slices.
