Warm Sticky Toffee Pudding

Recipe: "Warm Sticky Toffee Pudding" posted on DavidLebovitz.com
Rating: Good. I especially like the toffee sauce.
Status: Made once
Additional Notes: I ran out of sugar, so I used a mixture of half sugar and half dark brown sugar in the pudding. I didn't use candied ginger. Since I probably had the heat too low, it took me a lot longer to cook the sauce down to the drippy sticky consistency that I wanted than the recipe indicated (20 minutes). I baked the pudding ahead of time (my pudding only needed 40 minutes), and then followed the directions for reheating the cake and sauce.
Served with Malted Milk Ice Cream that my sister and David made. Individually both desserts are good, but together they are a little too sweet, especially after a huge New Year's Eve dinner.
