Nutty Magdalenas

Recipe: "Nutty Magdalenas" from DavidLebovitz.com
Rating: These have an interesting nutty flavor with a discernible taste of fruit olive oil.  It is a nice muffin, which is a little bit different than the norm.
Status: Made once.

Additional Notes:  I used almond flour since I had some around (but I only 70 grams of almond flour so I used 20 extra grams of flour in addition to the flour in the recipe).  The chopped nuts should be sprinkled on top of the batter just before baking (David Lebovitz forgot to mention this step).  My chopped nuts got a little bit burnt; I'm not quite sure how I'd fix this next time, but either the muffins could be covered in aluminum foil for part of the baking time, or they could be sprinkled on top after the muffins have baked for 10 minutes, etc.  The batter was exactly the right amount for my 12 standard cup muffin pan.
